I Have Something New For You

Hey there, I just wanted to drop a quick line and let you know we’ve got something new for our patients that I believe will be a game changer for 1,000s of people.

As you know, my team and I here at Robinhood Integrative Health are devoted to doing everything we can to help you feel better. And, we’re also trying as hard as we can to help bring you solutions that don’t cost a fortune either.

Which is why I’m excited to tell you about a new series of tests we have at the office.

We’re Offering Neurotransmitter Testing To Help Improve Mental Health

For the first time ever, we’ve got the ability to test your neurotransmitter levels here in the office and offer you another tool to get your mental health under control.

I’m aware that many of the people stepping foot into our office are struggling with anxiety and depression. Honestly, who can blame people for feeling this way given everything we’ve had to endure.

The amount of stress we’ve all been subjected to these past 12 months is unlike any in history. Stress like that can take underlying anxiety and depression and cause them to spike tremendously.

Most people are aware that both anxiety and depression are associated with chemical imbalances in the brain.

The cause of most forms of depression is generally related to a serotonin deficiency. And many occurences of anxiety are related to a GABA deficiency.

These causes aren’t uniform, but by and large the vast majority of diagnosed disorders are related to these disruptions in neurotransmitter production.

Up until recently all we could do was guess what chemical imbalance was causing the problems. We didn’t have the means to readily assess neurotransmitter levels and so we couldn’t always give our patients firm answers on how best to address mental health issues.

The test isn’t laser accurate, but it does give us a rough estimate of total body levels of neurotransmitters and that can be extrapolated to what is going on in the brain.

Fortunately, it is easy.

It’s a simple urine test that is done in the morning. You just test your second urination in the day (called a second morning void).

The good news too, is that we’re confident that with this test we’re going to have a good chance of identifying certain deficiencies and once we observe what’s happening within your brain we can work with physician-selected nutraceuticals that are scientifically shown to help support healthy neurotransmitter levels.

Since introducing this testing and then helping to treat the deficiencies we’ve had a great time seeing just how effective using these tests as a diagnostic test has helped our patients.

You should know this test is not covered by insurance.

However, considering improving mental health can have a tremendous impact on overall quality of life, it’s certainly worth the cost.

If you are experiencing any symptoms of anxiety or depression discuss with your doctor ordering a neurotransmitter test. It’s not a guarantee for a better future… but our experience is that most of the time when neurotransmitter levels improve so do patient’s symptoms, too.

If you’re a current patient and want to do this test please call us at 336-768-3335 or schedule an appointment through the online portal today.

If you are interested in becoming a patient at the practice please go to our website and fill out the new patient Intake Form and we’ll be in touch.
