If you’re not a chemist, or a physicist, you may not be aware that the smallest particle in the universe is hydrogen.


Likewise, you may not realize hydrogen is one of the most effective and most abundant antioxidants on the planet.

But both of these things are true.

Which is why we’ve recently adapted several hydrogen therapies at the office.

Hydrogen therapy isn’t a well-known kind of treatment option. That being said, the biological plausibility, the low-risk with the treatment as well as the evidence we’ve collected on it so far have led us to believe it may be one of the most effective means of dampening the negative effects of oxidation in the body.

In order to understand how hydrogen therapy works, you must first understand why it’s needed in the first place.

Over the past few years I’ve written extensively about the dangers of oxidation.

Oxidation results when free radicals encounter a cell and then steal their electrons. The stealing of the electrons, is known as oxidation. When electrons are stolen the proteins of the cell, the DNA inside the cell, as well as cell membranes may be damaged.

If the damage is allowed to remain, or continues to get worse, the cell may die or mutate.

Neither outcome is desirable.

In fact, almost all MDs and researchers believe many of the diseases we’re seeing crop up in the modern era are caused by oxidation.

Not all, but many (think many forms of cancer, immune system disorders, arthritis, and more).

Free radical damage of cells isn’t something you can stop.

But, you can certainly reduce the risk of cell damage via oxidation.

A few of the best ways are to eat a diet made of whole-organic foods, minimizing stress, sleeping well, and increasing your antioxidant supplies.

As the name suggests, antioxidants do the opposite of oxidants, so rather than cause cell damage, they protect the cells. They do this primarily by looking for dangerous free radicals and then eliminating them before they have the chance to damage cells.

While antioxidants from diet are extremely useful for protecting cells, sometimes you need to add more into your body to keep oxidation at bay.

This is especially true when you’ve been under sustained oxidative stress.  

Sustained oxidative stress results in fat cells oxidizing and forming a lipid peroxide called MDA. There are tests to measure MDA levels, and if they’re elevated past a certain point, it signifies a need for major intervention.

Interventions that are a little more potent than eating a bowl full of blueberries.

Hydrogen Therapy Does The Most Incredible Thing to Your Body

When you introduce massive amounts of pure hydrogen into the body, something incredible happens.

A wave of those teeny tiny hydrogen atoms rush through your body like water released from a reservoir.

The surge of hydrogen rips through your body’s cellular structure and begins to knock out free radicals like a river tearing trees from their roots.

Now, hydrogen doesn’t just knock out any and all free radicals.

And that’s a good thing.

While I won’t go into the mechanics of this, there are a few free radicals that are worse than others.

A free radical known as the hydroxyl radical is one of the most reactive in all the body. Hydrogen selects the hydroxyl radical for purging and eliminates it with voracity. 

Because it’s so small (remember, hydrogen is the smallest element in the universe), there’s not a place in your body hydrogen can’t go.

This includes passing through all your tissue, skeletal formations, cell membranes and even your blood-brain barrier.

Because it can pass through your body with ease, it means introducing massive amounts of hydrogen into your body will successfully neutralize an equally massive amount of free radicals.

Hydrogen is the most effective antioxidant known to mankind, it’s also the safest, as well as one of the most well-studied, too.

That’s why we’re excited to give people a chance to use hydrogen therapy.

There Are Several Kinds Of Hydrogen Therapy Here’s What We Feel Is the Best  

Hydrogen therapies are a newcomer to the scene for treating acute oxidative stress.

Because of that, there’s still a lot of work to be done refining therapies.

While that may be true, some therapies are better than others. Today, I plan to focus on one of the two preferred methods we use.

Hydrogen gas inhalation.

Easily one of the most effective and most affordable is inhaling a 2-4% hydrogen gas mixture.

This is entirely safe, and helps to infuse your body with trillions of hydrogen atoms to cleanse your body of free radicals.

The way it works is as follows: We fill the hydrogen gas generator with demineralized water and then turn it on. The machine then splits the H2O molecules into hydrogen and oxygen. Since there are three atoms that form a H2O molecule, it leaves you with a 66% to 33% mixture of Hydrogen to Oxygen that you breathe in.

This ratio is much higher than what you’d be breathing in regularly, and gives you a therapeutic dose of hydrogen that improves your health.

Patients who use it at the office typically start with a 1 hour inhalation twice weekly and then after a few weeks we perform a secondary free radical test to check their urine for MDA levels.

With that amount of time, most people first notice improvement in energy and mental clarity. Hallmarks of the elimination of MDA and being relieved of serious oxidative stress.
