99.9% Chance Your Water’s Contaminated With This Dangerous Chemical

You Likely Believe It’s Safe…

Hello, it’s Dr. Lantelme writing to you today.

The subject I wanted to discuss today is one that’s embroiled in controversy.

I’m not going to dig deep into the controversy, because my goal isn’t to convince you that someone’s “out to get you.”

My aim here is simple: To expose you to the overwhelming evidence that proves consuming water with this dangerous chemical is probably not in the best interest of your health.

There are a lot of lies surrounding the use of this chemical so I’ll just show you what research has proven to be true and let you draw your own conclusions about what should be done next.

Added to Your Water on Purpose

It’s in just about every major American water supply.

And you’ve been told it helps fight tooth decay.

The chemical in question is fluoride, and it’s anything but safe.

Why else do you think that every tube of fluoride toothpaste has a warning label against swallowing?

The FDA has labeled fluoride a drug.

It’s actually the only drug that’s administered to the public on the whole without their explicit approval. Many of the other chemicals added into water (like chlorine) are added because water needs to be treated so its both safe and pleasant to drink.

But they’re not drugs (and they’re not safe to drink either).

That’s not true of fluoride.

It’s added to help prevent tooth decay (even though it doesn’t), and if you drink from the public tap, then you likely consume it every single day.

So, what is fluoride?

Fluoride is the byproduct of industrial fertilizers.

Startling, but true.

Here’s what the leading fluoride advocacy group writes about fluoride:

The fluoride chemicals used to fluoridate drinking water are: hydrofluorosilicic acid, sodium fluorosilicate, and sodium fluoride. Unlike the fluoride compounds found in toothpaste or supplements, fluoridation chemicals are not pharmaceutical-grade quality. They are, instead, unpurified industrial by-products that are collected in the air pollution control systems of certain industries.

Due to the lack of processing, these chemicals are known to contain elevated levels of certain contaminants, particularly arsenic. In addition, recent research — including both epidemiological and laboratory investigations — have detected associations between the fluoridation of water with hydrofluorosilicic acid and elevated lead exposure, particularly those living in houses with old pipes.

And they’re added into your water every single day.

How? The EPA has supported the trapping of these gases and then scrubbing the gases so they can be added into the water supply, thus killing two birds with one stone.

The argument is it gets rid of pollution while at the same time helping fluoridate water so Americans can have healthier teeth.

The only problem?

Fluoridation of water does not prevent tooth decay.

If it did then the United States would have the best tooth health in the world, as we are the most fluoridated country in the world.

As it stands we don’t have the best tooth health in the world and many non-fluoridated counties have better overall tooth health than Americans. It’s something even the World Health Organization has noted.

But what’s most problematic is what fluoride does to the body.

The Shocking Ways Fluoride Hurts You

According to the National Research Council “Fluoride is no longer considered an essential factor for human growth and development.” That means we don’t need it in order to experience Health As It Ought To Be.

In fact, it is easily argued fluoride prevents us from helping us experience Health As It Ought To Be.

Here’s a sampling of some of what the research on fluoride has shown us.

Fluoride Can Likely Cause Cancer: The National Toxicology Program has identified fluoride as a mutagen. Meaning that it’s a compound that causes genetic damage. What we know about the growth of cancers is, many times, cancer is the result of damaged DNA.

Studies in laboratories have shown us the exposure to fluoride has led to cancers in many test subjects.

While the levels in the test subjects are higher than what you would see in your water supply, it stands to reason repeated and prolonged exposure could lead to similar results.  In fact, seven studies since the 1990s have found evidence of genetic damage in humans with high fluoride exposure.

One of the cancers that is likely caused by fluoride exposure is Osteosarcoma or bone cancer.

In fact, “a national case control study published in 2006 by Harvard scientists found that boys exposed to fluoridated water during their 6th, 7th, and 8th years of life (the mid-childhood growth spurt) had a significantly elevated risk of developing osteosarcoma during adolescence. (Bassin 2006).”

It should be noted there are other studies that don’t prove this association, but Bassin’s study is one of the only that is age and sex specific.

And, as Kenneth Rothman (a respected epidemiologist) told the Wall Street Journal:

“‘If there were an adverse effect of fluoride, it’s possible an effect of early exposure would be manifest in the first 20 years of life – but not after.’ Looking at all ages, in other words, could conceal any link between fluoridation and cancer.'”

Then there’s fluoride’s affect on the endocrine system.

Fluoride Has Negative Affects on the Thyroid: As Dr. Wiggy and I have noted frequently, if any of the body’s hormones are deviating from the normal, it has a greater propensity to affect the health of an individual on the whole.

Thus, fluoride’s affects on the thyroid should be quite concerning.

At one time in history, fluoride was prescribed as an anti-thyroid drug. It was used to tone down the activity of the thyroid.

That should give cause for concern for anyone reading this.

Two British researchers only recently concluded that fluoride has direct attributions to hypothyroidism.

They write:

We found that higher levels of fluoride in drinking water provide a useful contribution for predicting prevalence of hypothyroidism. We found that practices located in the West Midlands (a wholly fluoridated area) are nearly twice as likely to report high hypothyroidism prevalence in comparison to Greater Manchester (non-fluoridated area).”

And studies from other countries (China, Russia, and India) also show fluoride’s harmful affects on the thyroid. Their research was able to show that both reduced T3 and increased TSH were the result of exposure to fluoride in the water.

Not only this, but fluoride can make already present iodine deficiencies much worse.

As Chinese scientists wrote, ”The significant differences in IQ among these regions suggests that fluoride can exacerbate central nervous lesions and somatic developmental disturbance caused by iodine deficiency.

That’s Not All Fluoride Does…

In addition to what’s listed above, fluoride can also harm you in the following ways:

Fluoride Likely Causes Arthritis:

The Department of Health and Human Services has already noted fluoride has negative affects on the joints, even going so far as to say “chronic joint pain” and “arthritic symptoms.” are the result of fluoride intake.

This has caused some researchers to conclude many cases of arthritis are actually fluoride poisoning.

Fluoride Can Affect the Brain:

Harvard studies have shown the consumption of fluoride can cause neurological impairment. The Harvard School For Public Health wrote:

In a meta-analysis, researchers from Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) and China Medical University in Shenyang for the first time combined 27 studies and found strong indications that fluoride may adversely affect cognitive development in children. Based on the findings, the authors say that this risk should not be ignored, and that more research on fluoride’s impact on the developing brain is warranted.

That and the Lancet labeled it a “Neuro-toxin.”

Plus, And there’s more than enough evidence to show that it can be implicated in the development of

  • Diabetes
  • Glucose intolerance
  • Bone fractures
  • Skeletal Fluorosis
  • Reproductive Harm

And more.

Pretty good reasons to avoid it wouldn’t you say?

How to Avoid Drinking Fluoride

You must be deliberate in your attempts to avoid fluoride.

Yes, it’s in your toothpaste, in your shower, and in your drinking water.

So to avoid it, you should try and do the following:

  • Buy Fluoride water filters (for both showers and drinking water).
  • Buy fluoride-free water from the stores
  • Avoid toothpaste with fluoride
  • Go to a dentist who uses fluoride-free teeth cleaning

That covers most of your bases.

I uses a reverse osmosis water filter at my house which also takes out many other contaminants found in city water supplies.

The cost isn’t extremely prohibitive either when compared to buying bottled water.

Be blessed,
Dr. Lantelme
